Information We Collect
When you create a Velocity account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign up through a third-party provider such as Google or GitHub, we receive the profile information you authorize.
We also collect usage data including pages visited, features used, browser type, operating system, IP address, and timestamps. This helps us improve the product and diagnose issues.
Any content you create in Velocity -- issues, documents, comments, and attachments -- is stored on our servers to provide the service.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate, maintain, and improve Velocity. Specifically, we use it to authenticate your identity, provide customer support, send transactional emails such as password resets, and analyze aggregate usage patterns.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your content data for advertising purposes.
Data Sharing
We share data with third-party service providers who help us operate the platform, including cloud hosting (Supabase), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery, and error monitoring. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data.
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Velocity, our users, or the public.
Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3), regular security audits, and access controls with the principle of least privilege. API keys are hashed with SHA-256 before storage, and OAuth tokens are encrypted.
While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your workspace data at any time through the Settings > Export page. You can delete your account by contacting our support team.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to restrict processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@velocity.quest.
